Russia and Vietnam signed the agreement on the first nuclear power plant construction in Vietnam in October 2010. The agreement stipulates construction of two units AES-2006 of Ninh Thuan nuclear power plants with the capacity of 1,200 MW each.
The localization rate is expected to reach 30-40%.
On August 3, the engineering subsidiary of Rosatom, NIAEP-ASE United signed an agreement to cover the first construction of the plant with state-owned Electricity of Vietnam.
