Operation Permit granted to Taishan Unit 1 & 2

In April, China National Nuclear Safety Administration approved nuclear power-related projects in a noticeable increase.

According to the relevant requirements of the Nuclear Safety Law of People’s Republic of China and the Regulations on the Safety Supervision and Administration of Civil Nuclear Facilities, Taishan application for the operation license of its Unit 1 & 2 were reviewed as acceptable and it was decided to issue the operating permit.

According to the license content, the effective period of Unit 1 of Taishan Nuclear Power Plant is April 9, 2058, and the effective period of Unit 2 of Taishan Nuclear Power Plant is 40 years from the date of the first loading.

At the same time, since April this year, National Nuclear Safety Administration approved the quality assurance program (design and construction phase) E2 and commission phase C2 of the demonstration project of the high-temperature gas-cooled reactor-Shidaowan Nuclear Power Plant.

In addition, NNSA also approved the “Fuqing Unit 5 and 6 Commissioning Outline (A/2 Edition)”.
