Pakistan and Turkey business activities

The economic relations between Pakistan and Turkey are expected to increase dramatically thanks to the Free Trade Agreement, which is expected to be finalized soon. The trade volume in 2016 reached 600 million USD.

At the beginning of May, the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO) hosted a delegation from  the Pakistan Parliament in Turkey.
Hasan Büyükdede, Vice Chairman of ISO Council opened the ceremony by stating that “Pakistan Investment Opportunities Day ” organized by İSO and the Consulate General of Pakistan in December 15, 2016 provided useful information about this market and Turkish firms investing in the country. He added that such organizations will move forward the economic relations of the countries.
Mr. Mansoor explained that the trade between Turkey and Pakistan would develop both in quantity and quality, and that they would like to import industry, weapons and technology from Turkey.
Later, a series of presentations and promotional films about Turkish potential in the defense and aviation industry were shown.

  • From Turkey:
    – Hasan Büyükdede, Vice Chairman of ISO Council,
    – Sadık Ayhan Saruhan, Treasurer in the Board of Directors of ISO,
    – Fikret Dalkıran, Chairman of the Professionnal Committee on Machinery Manufacturing Sector of ISO,
    – İlhami Keles, Secretary General of Istanbul Defense Aviation and Space Clustering Association (SAHA).
