Promoting ECO energy technologies in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Commission for Industrial Estates and Technology Zones “MODON”, in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, “Bandar Al-Khareef”, and the Deputy Minister, “Osama Al-Zamil”, signed a cooperation agreement with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology “KACST”, to implement joint projects in the field of technologies of Water treatment, air conditioning and solar energy.

The cooperation to be implemented in 3 industrial cities includes the design and construction of a water plant with a capacity of 500 cubic meters per day to desalinate groundwater in the industrial city of Tabuk, and the construction of a wastewater treatment plant in Sudair City for Industry and Business, with a capacity of 1000 cubic meters per day.

The agreement also includes the application of a system that contributes to raising Energy efficiency using solar energy in buildings in Jeddah MODON oasis.
