President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, received, on December 16th, the new Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
El-Sisi confirmed to the Director General of IAEA, Mr. Raphael Mariano Grossi, the aspiration to deepen cooperation with the agency to benefit from its experiences in developing nuclear infrastructure, within the framework of El Dabaa nuclear power plant project.
For his part, Grossi reviewed ways to enhance cooperation with Egypt to support the Egyptian technical capabilities in the relevant fields, especially in light of the Egyptian ambition in the field of peaceful uses of atomic energy.
He also praised the recent achievements in the energy sector in Egypt, which would take Egypt to higher and further levels and horizons.
