Rosatom expands in other energy projects

During the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) between 1-3 June 2017, Aleksey Lihachev, the president of the Russian State Nuclear Energy Authority (Rosatom) expressed that mini-HEPPs (hydro electric power plant) and renewable energy projects are part of  Rosatom conventional projects.

He specified that the countries where the land structure is not suitable for establishing strong power stations are interested in their products, the mini-HEPP, such as Turkey and India. Mr. Lihachef added that Russia signed the first contract for the shipment of Mini-HEPPs with Georgia.

 

On the nuclear field, Rosatom will build soon a nuclear power plant in Turkey composed of four nuclear reactors worth 20 billion dollars in Mersin Akkuyu (South of Turkey). The company has exsiting and ongoing projects in India, China, Hungary, Iran, Finland, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Belarus.
