Saudi-Egyptian Nuclear Cooperation

During the meeting of the Saudi cabinet, led by the King of Saudi Arabia, on Monday 19th June 2017, the agreement of the peaceful use of nuclear power between Saudi and Egypt, which was signed in 2016, has been discussed.

 

The Saudi News Agency “WAS” has published the cabinet’s statement, which indicates that Dr. Hashim Abdullah Yamani, the president of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE), has exposed a plan of cooperation with Egypt. Based on the Shura Council’s decision (3265) the cabinet decided to agree on a cooperation in the field of the peaceful use of nuclear power between the government of Saudi Arabia and the government of Egypt.

 

The cabinet decided to agree on signing another memorandum of understanding in business and industrial field between the Saudi Ministry of Commerce and Investment and the Egyptian Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
