Siemens wins a service contract to enhance the stability of the Kuwait grid

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity and Water and Siemens Energy Company signed a contract to provide maintenance services to 116 high-voltage transformer stations.

The five-year maintenance contract is the largest maintenance service agreement in the field of power transmission signed by Siemens in the State of Kuwait, and it is also one of the largest maintenance service contracts in the power transmission sector in the entire Middle East region.

The project aims to ensure the provision of efficient electric power supplies and to support the stability of the national electricity grid in Kuwait. The transformer stations will be subject to maintenance to improve their stability and safety and will provide energy to residential and commercial areas.

The project includes providing advanced cautionary maintenance services, including maintenance of electrical circuit breakers in stations with voltage 400/300/33/11 kilovolts, electrical power transformers, as well as control and protection equipment, equipment and backup equipment attached to each transmission station.
