SPIC strengthen cooperation with Ansaldo Energia

On May 27th, Qian Zhimin, president of State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC), met with Giuseppe Zampini, CEO of Ansaldo Energia, at CNNC headquarters in Beijing. The two sides discussed issues such as heavy gas turbines, nuclear energy, and third-party market cooperation, and reached a consensus.

In the framework of ” Technical Cooperation Agreement on Heavy Gas Turbine” signed by both parties in the joint witness of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte on March 23, both parties will actively promote contract performance and effectively improve China’s independent R&D and design capabilities in heavy-duty gas turbine field; and meanwhile to increase efforts in the field of nuclear energy and third-party market cooperation, giving full play to the advantages of both industries and resources, deepening the potential of cooperation, actively cultivating projects, and continuously improving the quality of strategic cooperation.

Ansaldo indicated that it will provide all-round supports in manpower and professional resources and continue to expand the cooperation areas of two sides by matching professional resources, focusing on key projects to continuously enrich the strategic cooperation between them.
