TaiPower is seeking a deal with CGN

“As Taiwan’s nuclear power industry started at an earlier period, it has formed its own core competence in equipment aging management, nuclear instrumentation and equipment manufacturing, etc,” said Mr. Huang Xiaofei, director of the Cultural Publicity Center of China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN).

“In 2017, we (CGN) have 6 technicians to Taipower for exchange. This year, 9 people are expected to go.” Huang Xiaofei revealed, “now CGN and TaiPower are negotiating an agreement on expert support services to strengthen the mutual complementarity.

In recent years, cross-strait nuclear power exchanges have become increasingly close, and two sides are developing other relevant agreements. On 24th July, a joint interview group across the Taiwan Straits” visited the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant.

NβN tip: CGN still accepted that TaiPower has its unique strength in equipment aging management, nuclear instrumentation and equipment manufacturing, etc.
