The 2018 World Nuclear Women’s Conference and International NYC

The 26th Women in Nuclear Global Annual Conference and 2018 International Nuclear Youth Congress were held in Bariloche, Argentina. The SNPTC Chief Economist and Executive Secretary of the WiN China Branch Ms. Rong Fang led a delegation to the conference and exchanged ideas on encouraging women and young people to increase their involvement in the nuclear industry.

The theme of the conference is “Challenge Now and Help Future”. A total of 400 women and youth representatives from 47 countries, regions and international organizations contributed to the event. It is jointly organized by Women in Nuclear (WiN) and the Internal Youth Nuclear Congress. During the one-week session, delegates discussed topics such as gender equality and knowledge dissemination in the nuclear field and visited nuclear facilities in Argentina and Brazil. SPIC and SNPTC participants also shared experience in carrying out nuclear related publicity and financing and investment.

 

* WiN was established in 1992 to encourage and support women’s participation in the nuclear industry on a global scale and to increase public understanding and concern of nuclear and radiation protection.

Founded in 1998, the International Nuclear Youth Congress is a coalition of international youth nuclear experts, aiming to promote nuclear energy, promote the peaceful use of nuclear technology, and pass on to the next generation Expert knowledge and experience.
