Turkish branded floating solar panels

“Turkey’s First Floating Solar Energy Power Plant” has been established on Büyükçekmece Lake and commissioned by Istanbul Energy an affiliate of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and İstanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ).

In the project, 960 polycrystalline photovoltaic panels carrying the “Parla” brand were manufactured by Bereket Enerji Üretim A.Ş. which has its headquarters in Denizli.

The project will prevent 180 tons of CO2 emission every year.

He stated that geographically, Turkey is suitable for the construction of such floating plants and that the local sun power needs to be exploited more.
