Alternative Energy Projects Co, (AEPC), a subsidiary of Kuwait Projects Group (KIPCO), has signed a contract with Jordan’s Kawar Investment Company to invest in the development of an integrated solar power plant with the system of power transmission through the grid for Zain – Jordan.

This plant aims to provide the needs of Zain-Jordan of electricity from a renewable and environmentally friendly source.

“Global warming is a real problem that threatens the world. The solution is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by replacing conventional carbon resources with renewable and environmentally friendly sources, including solar energy,” said Hassan Qasim, director general of AEPC.
