Egypt’s Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy has announced that it is currently completing the construction of the world’s largest solar PV project in one location (Binban solar power complex near the city of Aswan) with a total capacity of 1465 MW, with the participation of 32 investors.
The ministry pointed out that the project, which was awarded by the World Bank as the “Best Project” for 2019, will be fully operational by the end of this year (2019).
Egypt is clearly rich in renewable energy sources, which include mainly wind and solar energy, according to the ministry.
