Wang Mingtan, General Manager of State Nuclear Power Technology Company （SNPTC） and Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute, met with Zhou Yuxiang, General Manager of Jilin Nuclear Power Co., Ltd during his stay in Changchun, Jilin Province in northeast of China. After exchanging information on the preliminary work, technical route, general contracting and follow-up work of the nuclear energy heating project, two parties signed a General Contracting Framework Agreement on Nuclear Energy Heating Project in Baishan City, Jilin Province.
Wang stated that SNPTC and SNERDI will clarify the technical route of the Jilin Baishan Nuclear Energy Heating Project as soon as possible to ensure the uniformity in technology and diversity in function of the Small Modular Reactors. He proposed that the two sides should make full use of the thermal load advantages in Baishan area to advance the project into the preferred demonstration project list.
