CNNC international expansion

On two consecutive days at the end of April, CNNC high-level management totally received three foreign delegations in Beijing to fully follow up the on-going cooperation and at the same time to expand business opportunities.

 

On April 28, the president of the CNNC Mr. Wang Shoujun exchanged opinions with Mr. William D.Magwood , the director-general of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency(NEA)regarding the global nuclear development and the nuclear safety culture and responsibility etc. The Technology and Information Department of the CNNC also attended this meeting.

 

On the same day, the General Manager of the CNNC Mr. Qian Zhimin received the CEO of the AREVA NP (ANP) Mr. Bernard Fontana,accompanied by the senior executive vice-president Mr. Frederic LELIEVRE and the president of the Chinese Region Ms. Monique VANVI. Both sides concluded the progress of the current cooperation and reached a consensus on next move. The CNNC also invited its affiliated Nuclear Fuel Company and the engineering companies to attend this meeting.

 

On April 27, Mr. Qian Zhimin met with the Chairman &CEO of the EDF Mr. Jean-Bernard Lévy. Based on the deliberate analysis of the global nuclear industry development, both sides further discussed their potential cooperation field and reached an agreement as well. The senior executive vice president of the EDF Mr. Xavier URSAT and the president of Chinese subsidiary Mr. Fabrice FOURCADE also attended the meeting.
