Iraq Agreement with Japan

Iraq signed an agreement with Japan to reform Al Hartha Heat Power Plant (second phase), which is located in Al Basra city. The agreement worth 195 Million USD.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Maher Hammad, the Deputy Minister of the Iraqi Finance Ministry, from the Iraqi side, and Mr. Fumio Iwai, the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, from the Japanese side. The signing of the agreement was under the supervision of the Iraqi Prime Minister, Haidar Al Abadi.

This agreement is part of a strategic plan to reform the infrastructure, increase the number of jobs opportunities, and providing financial and energy projects in Iraq.
