TAEK grants the certificate of approval to AEM-Technology

JSC “AEM-technology” (part of the engineering division of Rosatom – Atomenergomash) was approved as a manufacturer of equipment for the Akkuyu nuclear power plant being built in Turkey. JSC “AEM-technology” was the first manufacturer of equipment for nuclear power plants to receive a certificate of official approval of the manufacturer. Certificate No. TR-10-003 issued September 19, 2017 by the Atomic Energy Agency of Turkey (TAEK, the regulatory agency of Turkey).

During the consideration of the application of the company “AEM-technology” TAEK studied a number of documents provided in accordance with the “Regulations on the process of supply of equipment and approval of the manufacturer of equipment for nuclear installations”, approved on May 28.

After careful work with the application documentation, audits of production sites in Volgodonsk and Petrozavodsk were conducted. Representatives of the Turkish side inspected production units, measuring and testing laboratories. Particular attention was paid to production processes, quality control at all stages of production, safety culture in the manufacture of equipment for nuclear power plants.

One of the important conditions for the recognition as a manufacturer of equipment was the availability of accreditation of testing laboratories in the international ILAC MRA system. “AEM-technology” is one of the few Russian companies that has such accreditation in accordance with the international standard ISO / IEC 17025.

“We were confident in obtaining the certificate of the Turkish Atomic Energy Agency,” said Igor Kotov, General Director of JSC “AEM-technologies”. “Our company once again confirmed the high level of production organization and quality of the equipment produced.”

The approval of JSC “AEM-technology” as a manufacturer gives the right to the branches of the company “Atommash” and “Petrozavodskmash” to produce equipment for the Turkish project.
